This may come as a shock, but August is all about … getting your shock absorbers checked! We tend to think of our shocks as being there just for better ride comfort, and so they tend to be a long way down the priority list of vehicle maintenance. But they are so much more important than that, with even a minor amount of wear affecting our stopping distances, making handling unpredictable and reducing vehicle stability and control.
